Crosby Beach and very very Muddy Legs....

Me and K1 had arranged to do this on Saturday but when I had been up all night with S I wasn't sure it was going to happen but she woke up fine, but during the night she was sweating buckets, so think she had caught the bug from me and K2

about 2 in the morning

At about 10.30 Daddy M decided he has to clean his fish tank out so S wanted to help

S scrubbing one of the ornaments from the tank and loving every minute of it

holding the pipe for Daddy M

Daddy M finished cleaning his fish tank out, I had done a few jobs, and we both decided that we were going to go with the plan of going to Crosby beach, so while I had a shower Daddy M got the picnic together, also made sure we had everything we need.

We all got in the car and headed to Crosby beach.  We went to a totally different part of Crosby that we had done the last time, but preferred the parking and well everything about it. I went into the leisure center to get me and Daddy M a drink which seem to take forever, they were slightly slow to say the least.  We headed up the path to the beach S was not amused in the slightest over the sand getting on to her socks and in her new sandals, the rest of us took our shoes/flip flops off. While Daddy M tried to persuade S that it was fine to have them of, but she wasn't having any of it.

We ignored S and set up for the picnic, S calmed down as soon as she saw juice.

Spirit loves the sand and was extremely good at waiting for us to eat our food.

After we had finished our food, we got all our things together and decided to walk to the sea edge but it was a bit of a trek and S wasn't having any of this walking, So Daddy M carried her most of the way.

The wet Sand was horrible to walk in and very deep which I found out on the way back because I got stuck, you can all stop laughing now.  We saw loads of jelly fish, you can see by Daddy M's legs the sand was very deep, so it was try to find puddles to rinse of our legs which made no difference because on the way back they got just as bad, I didn't take any pictures when the girls were in the sea water because Spirit jumped up when she was in the sea and got my pants soaking wet and my phone was in my pocket so that soon got put back in the bag.  We did let Spirit of the lead, but she got her self in the part of the beach she couldn't get through without getting stuck so I had to go and rescue her.

Soon after we walked back up the beach and headed to the car, we were all very muddy indeed, so Daddy M had a fantastic idea of on the way home stopping at tesco getting some ice cream and eating it at home which we did, but after we all had washed our legs, We had decided to watch a film while eating the ice creams which we watched the disney movie Torn never heard of it, K1 loved it K2 not bothered, and S not interested in the slightest.

K2 doesn't cuddle and unless she wants to so I jump at the chance to have cuddles with her.

When K2 and S started getting fidgety and bored I started tea which was Lasagne.  Its not often we sit as a family to eat tea so we do try at the weekends to seat and eat tea together at least once a week

we all had tea, K1 had a shower and the younger two had baths.
At 7 o clock it was bed time for the younger two saying it is a Sunday.  K2 goes to bed between 7.30 and 8 depending on how late she stayed up on the Saturday night.

It was a lovely Family day, don't get me wrong though there was still telling offs and tears because they got told off.  But don't want to remember that bit just the best bits of the day.

Thanks for reading x

Late Fathers day BBQ

The weekend of Fathers day my parents were away on holiday, so we decided to celebrate it the weekend after they were back, which worked out yesterday.

Nanna L and Grandad P had the girls over night on the Friday night so me and Daddy M went around about 4 o clock.  When we got their the girls were all inside watching Matilda but that didn't last long then they were back out side enjoying the sunshine.

Nanna L got the girls working by helping taking the food outside while Grandad P bbq a couple of burgers and sausages, the food all get set out and we all sat down and chatted, and enjoyed the gorgeous sunshine in the back garden.

Its not often we get photos of Nanna L with any of the girls, K1 wasn't impressed for the fact she couldn't leave her plate of food to go play and come back.

S being shy about having her photo taken, and K2 being silly on a trike that was far to small for her.

We had finished with the food so the girls played which they love playing in Nanna and Grandads garden
Daddy M wearing K1 hat to wind her up, the younger two playing with chalk board so much so K2 had chalk all over her hands and face
I asked S if she was ok and she "oh", Grandad P building his new lego, who is the children??? Daddy m playing with the letters to make silly words like mummy's lazy, and K1 smells.

K2 the clown of the family, and K1 showing attitude.

It was then time for the ice cream and oeros which Daddy M denies eating all of, Nanna L having to be told that if she didn't take the chocolate fingers back inside they will melt and they will be biscuit fingers.

We had to bribe S with Ice lolly for a nice picture.

We then let the girls play for a bit longer while the adults chilled and talked, by this point Auntie K had gone to see M.

It was a lovely couple of hours around at Nanna L and Grandad P's celebrating Fathers Day

Friday 20 June

On Friday I had my Friends daughter for the day we will call her F, F is type 1 diabetic so she is insulin dependent, my Friend Mummy M has taught me along with her diabetic nurses  how to test F and give her the insulin.   Since F has been diagnosed with Diabetes when she was 2 years old she has not long turned 4, for Mummy M and Daddy N it has been a long process of how to learn how to respond to F's diabetes and to learn for the signs of when she is high and low, there will always be a learning curve to it as well, because as she gets older the signs change, for example at the moment she is not showing any signs of when she is having a hypo meaning low which is under 4 when a couple a weeks ago she was like being naughty, you could tell by her eyes or being really quiet and sleepy. F also has to eat 6 times a day, get insulin 4 times a day and on a good day get tested again 6 times a day.

Back to the day, F got dropped of at quarter past 8 in the morning so Daddy M took K1 and K2 to Grandad P's for him to take them to school, I had my cleaning head on so in the morning I did a load of cleaning and sorting the kitchen out while the girls played saying they are 2 and 4 there were some arguing along the way with not sharing and things like that. It got to 10 o clock so it was test and snack time for F but can't leave S out on the snack, she also wanted be tested as well, she soon got distracted by the chocolate biscuit.  They had snack and carried on playing while I carried on with cleaning.

We were going to go to the park but my cleaning head made it so we didn't go till after lunch, so again at 12 o clock we test F gave them both lunch and worked out what insulin F needed which all depends on how many carbs she has that meal time gave F her insulin, gave it 20 mins or so and headed to the park along with Spirit.

They were both loving it at the park and playing really nicely.

I asked F for a nice photo

couldn't not take photos of Spirit

Spirit loving the long grass and she shade to keep her cool

F then wanted to go on the other bit to the park which has the sip wire on it.

as you can tell S was to busy playing on the horse to notice

but soon realised and wanted to join in

S didn't want a go at the zip wire but loved chasing after it

it started getting a bit to hot outside so decided we would walk home but as we started walking home we spotted one of my neighbours who has 5 dogs, he walks two at a time, he was walking Ben and Lady which the girls made a huge fuss over.  But S didn't want to leave them she wanted the leads to go back on so R put the leads back on Ben and Lady and let the girls hold the leads, Ben and Lady are old so they walk slowly

R even said that S made Ben walk quicker then he ever has

waiting for Ben to catch up

R my neighbour walking Spirit for me while I took photos

F absolutely loved walking Lady home

a couple of times the leads got a bit tangled up which was funny

Then it was time to cross the road so R put the leads to they were short, I took F over first while R stayed with S and then came back for S. It was so cute watching them walk these dogs.

The girls walked the dogs all the way home which was around the corner from this photo and said bye to Ben and Lady, we said thank you to R, took Spirit back and headed home.

We got home I carried on cleaning while the girls watched a barbie movie, at 2 o clock it was time to test F and Snack she was having a hypo so a gluco tab and 2 biscuits and told her I would re test her in 20 minutes.  I retested her and gave her an extra biscuit because she wasn't low but not high enough not to go back to a hypo.

While we were at the park I got an email regarding doing NVQ's with my work which I am a Carer, fully paid for by the government so I jumped at the chance, phoned the women and arranged to meet at quarter to 4.  Plans had changed with Daddy N picking F up, so put S in her pushchair and F walked all the way which was a 15 minute walk, but with being diabetic that could cause to have a hypo so went fully loaded with her bag which has her testing kit, insulin and emergency insulin and biscuits.   S feel asleep in the pushchair on the way their which I knew she would and better for me.  when we got their and re tested F to make sure she was fine after the walk and she was, text Daddy N to give him directions to where we were, the women turned up went through everything I needed to know, did a couple of questions and now fully signed up for my NVQ.  F was so good while we were their, on the walk back home before we had even left the car park Daddy N turned up, so gave F to Daddy N to take her home.

Me and S walked home and Nanna L got to our house soon after to pick S up to have a sleep over. The older two had been picked up Grandad P from school so were at Ikea having tea.

Thanks for reading.

The gruffalo trail

With Daddy L Being off this week we decided to have a day out with S and Spirit. Daddy L took the older 2 to school while I had a lie in with me being ill yesterday. We needed to be back by 2 for S's Preschool trail hour. We left later then planned half 10, so we decided on getting lunch their, so our first stop was Lunch, and of course we took jofli aka Barney to S

S wanted to see her hair that I had done for her

We finished lunch and started walking the trial S wasn't in the best moods.
  S loving it at first

Daddy L carrying Jofli aka Barney

Spirit loving the different smells and walk

Daddy L trying to persuade S to carry on with the trail

S loved finding the signs and pointing all the characters out

S spotted the sign before we did

Daddy L asked where the arrow was

S wasn't sure so Daddy L pointed it out for her

We ask S to pointed out certain characters where was the owl she pointed at all of them except the owl so Daddy L went through them with her.

While Daddy L Was persuading S to carry on, me and Spirit had selfies.
We then finally found our first character which was the drum roll please

THE SNAKE.

we carried on looking for some more characters, S was really getting fed up at this point so Daddy L carried her on his shoulders

we then found the Owl and the mouse, we must of missed the fox on the way but because we were on a time limit with having to get back we didn't go back to look for it.

before we got to the owl two horses went past and Spirit goes nuts at horses so Daddy L trying to stop her barking so not to scare the horses

we walked on a bit further...
S dragging her feet and time is ticking away and we really need to go.

We found the Gruffalo

S walked straight up to the gruffalo I don't think it was what she was excepting

S sat next to Daddy L
Jofli  aka Barney on the Gruffalo
Mummy and S with the gruffalo

we then had to walk quickly back to the car by this point S had truly had enough and had a paddy as 2 year olds do nearly all the way to the car.

Lucky she feel asleep in the car on the way home and absolute loved her first trail hour at preschool and even said yes or no to the teachers there, she also came home with her first preschool picture that she had made :)
