This flapjack recipe is the best one I have found. My friend gave it to me and she found it in a Tweenies magazine when her middle daughter was 3, she is now nearly 13.
I thought I would share it with all of you, so you can give it a go.
I have tried different things with this recipe to make it my own, also to find what works for me,
I personally use caster sugar and not brown sugar, I find it sticks better together.
Pinch of Salt
6oz Brown Sugar
2 Table Spoons of Golden Syrup
Melt the butter, Sugar and Syrup in a pan.
Put the oats in and stir in till its all mixed together.
Then pour into a tray.
20-30 Minutes in the oven at 190oc
Mine only go in for 20 minutes and then harden up sat on the side.

I have found that after they come out the oven not to cut them straight away, let them cool slightly then cut them but leave them still in the tray for the bottom to stick together a bit more.

I love this recipe, you can add things to it to make it more healthy like raisins or chocolate chips or even dried pieces of fruit. you can have them big pieces or little pieces like I have. I have made these for snacks at school so small pieces are the idea size for when they are at school.
