New Challenges for 2016

For a while now I have hated the way I look and I know I'm the only one who can change that, but I have never had the motivation to actually do anything at all, which then made me hate myself, which then led me to binge eating and I kept going round in this vicious circle this has been going on since 2013.

In October Daddy & I went for a run, and I absolutely hated it. I couldn't think of anything worse, so never went again, on the same day my friend added me to this Run Mummy Run page on Facebook, I read the posts and they were very motivational which got me thinking that if they can do it so can I.

I Decided that I am fed up of hating the way I look and I am the only one who can change it. So I decided that on the 4th January after the kids were back in school and all the chocolate and alcohol had been drank, that I would start the C25K on my own and train Spirit to run as well.  I also Joined another Facebook group, which started on the 1st January called Lucy Locket Loves Fitness. She gives you exercises to do every day, she  keeps you motivated as well as the rest of the group to get up and do those exercises she has set.

To give me the extra boost and to make sure I didn't back out of it, which I could of done quiet easily, I signed up for a virtual run in January and I have to run/walk 10K which I paid for, some of the money goes to charity and at the end of it you get a medal sent to you, there are loads of these all you have to do is google it, if you up to the challenge. I have also signed up for one in February.

The Monday arrived and I was determined but was so tired with very little sleep the night before and working for a couple of hours during the day with no running gear, to stop myself for talking myself out of it I nipped to Aldi straight from work and got what I needed. I got everything twice, one in each size hoping I would fit in the medium, and I did YAY! I got everything on, got Spirit ready and left home. This was at 4 o clock in the afternoon, and I needed to leave at quarter past five to pick up Daddy from work.
This was my first run, I am now on week two Day 1 on C25K. I'm not loving it, but not hating it either and I will carry it on, me and Daddy have been talking about doing an half a marathon together, so I can train for it later on this year or maybe next year, you just never know.

My second Challenge for this year was to get back into reading, I used to be like Kacy and was a bookworm, Kacy is more of a bookworm then I was. I have missed it, I have looked at a couple of books and never really got into them. So need to find what I am into and go from there. I am going to try and read a book a month so my first book that I'm reading is the book thief, Daddy bought me months ago.  Next month might try Harry Potter, I've never really gottten into them as a teenager, but I have watched all the films and I am hoping it might get Kacy into them, it's one set of books she can't get into.

  1. Congrats on doing so well with your fitness. I have the same challenges as you and although I'm not fond of the workouts, I feel so much better about myself once they are done! Keep it up :) x

  2. Congrats on starting running, I am a keen runner, but have recently had 3 months off due to injury :( I'm hoping to slowly get back as I signed up for a half mara before I hurt my knee, so I do need to get back on it now I'm back walking on it properly! Good luck with your 10k! x
